Google Business Profile, an example

What’s included.

Included in every plan.

Set up right

  • Ownership set up properly Your profile claimed or recovered, with you as the owner and me as a manager.
  • The right categories A primary category that matches your main work, and the secondary ones that fit.
  • Every service listed Each service you offer, with a short description in plain words.
  • Your service area The cities or ZIP codes you cover, up to Google’s limit of 20.
  • Hours, including holidays So customers never show up or call when you’re closed.
  • A clear description What you do, where and for whom. Your business name stays exactly as it is.
  • Photos and your logo Your work, your team and your truck. Real photos only.
  • Links that work Website and quote links pointing to the right pages on your site.

Kept current

  • Updates from your jobs Send me photos of recent work and I’ll post them to your profile.
  • Watching for edits Anyone can suggest changes to a Google profile. I watch for changes you didn’t make and correct them.
  • Your review link and QR code So customers land straight on your review form.

Everywhere else people look

  • Bing Places Bing’s version of your profile, which also feeds some AI tools.
  • Apple Business Connect How you show up in Apple Maps and on iPhones.
  • The main directories Yelp, BBB, Nextdoor and the rest, claimed where possible, with the same details everywhere.

What I’ll never do.

Google suspends profiles that break its rules, and when a profile is suspended, its reviews disappear with it.

  • Stuff keywords into your business name
  • Create a second profile or a fake address
  • Use a mailbox or virtual office as your location
  • Buy reviews or post fake ones

Questions people ask.

Do I need a shop or an office?

No. If you travel to your customers, Google treats you as a service-area business. You verify with your real address, then hide it and show the area you cover instead.

I don’t have a profile yet. Can you set one up?

Yes, together. Google sends the verification to you, sometimes as a short video, and I handle the rest.

Will I lose control of my profile?

No. You stay the owner. I’m added as a manager, and you can remove me any time.

Can you get me to the top of Google?

Nobody can promise a position, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Google decides. What I do is the work that’s in your control: a complete profile, a fast site that says what you do and where, matching listings, and a steady flow of real reviews.

What does AI search setup mean?

ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers and the rest build their answers from your website, your Google profile and your listings on other sites. I make sure they all show the same, correct details about your business.
